rv interest and information

My name is Anna and lately I have been on youtube looking at various rv's getting information on which Is good for residence their are so many and they all are nice and I am also interested in the bus conversions want to know which would be more reasonable but my issue and question is do I have to have a drivers license to live in one as a resident? thank you for your help.

Hi Anna, take your time and do lots of research. If you're not going to be driving, the skoolie conversion would make a nice home and so long as you don't drive it there would be no need for a driver's license. You could get a super cheap one at a public auction if it doesn't need to run. Not sure how you'd get it home though.

My daughter bought a skoolie (and they do go places in it) and got it registered as an RV after doing a lot of required modifications. If she hadn't, she would have had to pay more for registration, for a commercial vehicle. Some school buses require a commercial driver's license as well.... but not if you're not actually driving them.

If you are going to drive an RV or schoole then you need a license.  If you have no intention of driving, then I’d be looking at a trailer.
 
Have you considered a "park model" RV? They are made to be set up in an RV park, connected to water, electric, sewer, and gas. They are like a house trailer, only smaller and less expensive. Many of them have conveniences associated with regular homes, like dishwashers and laundry facilities.
