Another avenue you may want to consider are seasonal jobs with lodge and leisure companies that operate in many of the national parks through out the country.  I applied to four summer seasonal jobs in the past week and received two offers few days later.   Xanterra, Vail, and Aramark just to name a few.  CoolWorks.com and Indeed.com were very helpful in my job search.  The company reviews from Indeed were pretty insightful.  Most of the companies offer dorm housing and three meals per day for employees.  Some also provide RV campsites.  There is a nominal fee deducted from the biweekly paycheck to cover housing and board.  You're obviously not going get rich from these jobs but hanging out in the Grand Tetons not bad of a trade off.  I hope this is helpful.

Best,

Donald
