Why so serious?
<br /><br />I was&nbsp;referring to the hurricane and how he overlooked the nature aspect.&nbsp;Actually I like his&nbsp;creativity. I guess I don't understand if he was going to move inland why he&nbsp;didn't build there in the first place.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /><br />
He has a greater vision of cutting loose the tether... and floating away... an autonomous mobile island country..
<br /><br /><div>No man is an island</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Meaning</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Human beings do not thrive when isolated from others. Donne was a Christian but this concept is shared by other religions, principally Buddhism.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Origin</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>This is a quotation from John Donne (1572-1631). It appears in Devotions upon emergent occasions and seuerall steps in my sicknes - Meditation XVII, 1624:</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>"All mankind is of one author, and is one volume; when one man dies, one chapter is not torn out of the book, but translated into a better language; and every chapter must be so translated...As therefore the bell that rings to a sermon, calls not upon the preacher only, but upon the congregation to come: so this bell calls us all: but how much more me, who am brought so near the door by this sickness....No man is an island, entire of itself...any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee."</div>

<span style="font-family: impact, chicago;">Speaking of duct tape, i was shopping for insulation panels, and found some all weather "white" coloured duct tape. They also had -40* duct tape, that was coloured "blue", and claims that it sticks more powerfully the lower the temp gets.<br /></span>twokniveskatie wrote:<br /><div>I think 2 L. Bottles are the new duct tape :)....</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div>

These are all sites for the same thing: Making a floating dock or island from pop bottles.<br><br>http://www.theglobeandmail.com/life/a-dining-room-afloat-on-pop-bottles/article1375548/<br><br>http://ecoble.com/2007/11/18/250000-bottles-amazing-recycled-mexican-island-paradise/<br><br>http://imprint.printmag.com/environmental/soda-bottle-island/<br><br>http://www.ehow.com/how_4478359_make-floating-island.html<br><br>This is something I would love to do on the west coast somewhere. No rent or morgage payments! It would take a lot of time to collect enough bottles.
