i suspect the intent of this thread was to talk about the OP's radiation concerns, rather than know about how to actually get reliable service.

So to the OP, if you want to start another useful HowTo, state upfront no consideration nor discussion of the health risk stuff, give a link to this thread for those who are interested in that aspect.

Then once you've learned your different options for "how to", you can decide for yourself which you think are less dangerous.

Very few people use wired connections between the router and their client devices, everyone sets up WiFi sharing for that,

but enough IT savvy to help with that aspect if you want to go that way.

If you just have the one PC, then a USB-based cell modem will suffice.

To this discussion I can say that recently I have dealt with two situations that may be relevant. First was a couple in a converted car hauler that bought the expensive weBoost drive RV and wanted me to figure out why it was not working. What I found was that the indoor antenna emitted such a weak signal that unless my phone was set right on it that I had to leave the trailer to get a cell signal. The trailer was that effective at blocking the signal.

The second was a person that hung their hotspot centered between the front seats and windshield of their class B where it saw the best chance of seeing a tower in every direction besides the rear. They did this because moving it into the back of the RV caused the signal to drop dramatically.

So what we learn by this is that the metal trailer and body of the RV can be very effective at blocking cell signals. A USB internet stick on a long USB cord could be used to collect and transmit that signal to your computer without sending out a wireless signal. This is the same as tethering a hotspot or phone with a hotspot to the computer and turning the wireless feature off. Any of the three could be placed outside and deliver no signal to the user. The devices could be placed in a booster cradle away from the user as the range is extremely limited.

I know not if the signals produce by our devices cause us harm. Many times someone decides something is good or bad and runs with it without any clear proof. It is not my place to decide for another what path to follow in their life.
