After reading posts about insulation I noticed a lot of you folks say it is quieter. Now some of you know I am hearing challenged so I have a question. I will be insulating with styrofoam with foil and plywood. How many db's do you think you bring down with this kind of insulation? 5 ,10? Im only asking because I have strange hearing LOL Some things sound loud to me and then not to other people. The radio can be on at a "normal" volume but sounds loud to me and low to other people.

Right I know that Blkjak. After I add all my db's is the sounds going to be lower than the registered ones that they have listed? People are saying it is lower so I just wondered HOW much lower....just off the wall how much lower in your van which is is nicely insulated would you say the sound is? The reason I ask is that I dont want to have to rely on friends to say "Can you hear that?" all the time to figure out if I should lower the item or toss it.

Good idea Blkjak! I will do that. I'll have to put that safely (number)away somewhere so I dont forget. I lock the number in my fire box. That will make it easier for me. Thanks&nbsp;<img src="../images/boards/smilies/smile.gif" alt="" align="absmiddle" border="0" />
