I have two 100w Renogy panels from a kit.

They each have two wires.

I want them in ??? Series or Parallel for max power when one or either might get some shade, etc?
And not cut off both? I don't think I want them in series, right?

Do I need to buy a couple of "MC4 "T" connectors??? None came with the kit I bought?
Like these?

Many THANKS in advance, YO!!!!!!

In series, you MUST have an MPPT controller, and PWM won't work.

To put two panels in parallel, yes, you must have those Y connectors from Amazon.

I prefer parallel.  There are some people here who would disagree, I'm sure.

I'm thinking about how to set mine up also...4 panels in series-parallel maybe. Not an option for you, but it's good to hear the advice on series vs parallel vs series/parallel from those in the know.

Those connectors are what I am using.   :D

Easy~Peasy.

Branch connectors should be here today. Along with my bedding foam, and other minor electrical components.

BUT... I'm also waiting on my cables from the Genuine Deals guys, they should be here Monday.
I must say the order process was much less hassle than I expected, and WAYYYY less than figuring
out exactly what lengths, sizes, and connectors was for me...

So the solar install will be held up a few days for that, :(

SUCH FUN!!!

I am so used to buying in bulk at a local supply, then cutting to fit in place ~~~

This way I know I am getting the quality I want.   No question of measureing wrong and no delays.

One nightmare experience around Thanksgiving convinced me to buy the details localy.

Today the branch connectors and the tool thingies came.

I'm going to have to play with them to see how that works.
At first glance, quite confusing...

I'll play with them tomorrow, I'm beat!

I have a single 315 watt panel. Having one panel definitely makes for an easier and cleaner install. But if it gets so much as a lamp post shading any of the panel it will kill it's power output. I don't find this to be a problem because I'm usually 100% SOC by noon. Haven't tested the panel in the winter months yet though.
