I am having problems viewing this forum. The page loads waaayyyyy too wide. I have to use the slider for every line. <br><br>It is only this web page that is giving me a problem. I have tried it with both Internet Explorer and Google Chrome browser and both do it.<br><br>I am fairly computer savy for my age, but far from being a geek.<br><br>I havn't tried adjusting screen resolution, because I don't want to mess up all other websites. Is there a way to adjust screen resloution for an individual web page, without changing it for all? Is there another way to solve this problem?<br><br>Anyone else having this issue or is it just my computer being cranky?<br><br>Thanks for any help!<br>

Hi, For some reason the only problem I have is difficulty sometimes getting the reply box to accept my cursor....<br><br>These pages display normal for me.....<br>I am using Firefox 5 as a browser...<br>Bri<br><br>

Are those of you with this problem using IE by any chance?

Yes, I am using Internet Explorer. It did the same on Google Chrome.<br><br>I would like to hear if anyone using Firefox is having a problem. <br>

<div>What version of IE are you running, and what OS/version?</div><div><br></div>I don't have that issue with any version of Chrome or Firefox. I've been working on another problem and have been unable to reproduce either across 5 different browsers and 3 OS's so far.&nbsp; As of this morning there's a new Chrome build released. You can try updating to that but there's no guarantee that will fix it.<div><br></div><div>I'm taking a stab in the dark that this might be java related.&nbsp;Remove any version of java you have via add/remove and install the most current version.&nbsp;<a href="http://www.java.com/en/download/" target="_blank">http://www.java.com/en/download/</a></div>

In Fire Fox go to view on the menu bar and select view and then zoom out.<br>

hi, and welcome! there are several known issues with the forum..... there is a whole forum thread devoted to it :)<div><br></div><div><a href="https://vanlivingforum.com/post?id=5155405" target="_blank">https://vanlivingforum.com/post?id=5155405</a></div><div><br></div><div>&nbsp;the group owner is in the sierra's working for the summer, and has limited access. he asks that we put up with it for now. meanwhile, we can use that thread to document our difficulties, brainstorm suggestions, and ventilate our frustrations! we haven't yet pinned down why some have some problems, and other folks completely different ones.</div><div><br></div><div>hope you'll bear with us, and stick around :) lots of useful info and great people here!</div>

It's ok with me... same thing happens... the webpage is too wide but I don't really mind. Maybe I am in the minority. I'm just happy the website works at all. Mine is more poorly maintained.

It happens for me as well. I'm on IE at work. It is annoying that I have so much blank background space to the left side I have to scroll through, but it'll get fixed eventually I'm sure. <img src="/images/boards/smilies/smile.gif" border="0" align="absmiddle"><br><br>EDIT: Just tried it out in FF (which is "technically" only for testing at work", and it works great.<br>

The reason why some people are having problems and others aren't is because of their resolution size. Im currently viewing this website at 1024x768 and it is very wide as others have said.

<P>It's not resolution, there's something wrong with viewing the page in Internet Explorer. My resolution is the same as yours at work, and higher at home, and in IE, the forum is messed up, but Firefox it's perfect.</P>

The only time I've had problems viewing any site online is when my browser needed updating to the latest version, which I advise everyone to do immediately, since it can't hurt anything.

I'm currently using Puppy Linux 5.2.8 with Firefox 21. I also use Debian and Slackware with the same browser, and I've had no problems. When I narrow my browser window the forum windows all shrink in sync with it, so there's no slider....the forum just gets narrower and easier to read.

I have an netbook that still has WinXP on it with Firefox, and I haven't noticed any problems on it, either. I think most of the problems I've seen described here were all solved by updating to the latest current versions.

Of course, you may have some truly unique shizzle going on with your system, but that's my own two cent solution for now. I hope it works for you. You should note that virtually EVERYTHING you see online tends to require the latest version of everything in order to work or view properly.

By the way....I use Abine's "DoNoTrackMe" and "NoScript" plugins here on my machines. I evidently do not have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player on this, since it keeps bugging me to upgrade.

I don't have a problem so I can't say if this helps or not, but have you guys tried hitting the &nbsp;"CTRL +" or "CTRL -" without the quotes?

1)&nbsp; use Firefox<br><br>2)&nbsp; Get a mouse with a scroll wheel<br><br>3)&nbsp; Use the VIEW and the ZOOM<br><br><br><br>
