Hi all,

I have yet to get an RV but I'm looking at some Class A's and some Class C's and my question is, instead of pulling a "toad" with me, what would be the best way to go about hauling a motorcycle with me? I'm planning on using my Kawasaki Ninja 300 ABS as my running around vehicle, so I'm wondering what would be the best way to haul it around. It's not very heavy (383.7 lbs according to Kawasaki's website) so would a bumper mount work or should I look into other options to haul it around? Any help is appreciated.

i think you would need a class iii hitch(5000/500lb pretty much standard on trucks and vans) for that weight... people haul 800+lb touring bikes on hitch/bumper carriers all the time.
pulling a single rail motorcycle trailer would put less tounge weight on the hicth but would reduce gas mileage...

you would need to check the hitch rating and the owners manual of the models you are considering and see what they claim for max tounge weight most should be fine for the <500lb motorcycle and carrier.

just be careful loading and unloading that heavy of a bike if you are doing it by yourself.

how do you like the 300? it sounds like a great bike from the little i've heard

Thanks for all your info. I absolutely love it. Of course I am also new to Motorcyles so I really don't have much to compare it too, lol. I've ridden a friend of mines Ninja 600 before and enjoyed it, but as a first bike I've come to the realization that it was way to much bike for me at the moment, so I decided to go with the 300 till I get use to it. Eventually I do want to upgrade, but not anytime soon.

EDIT:

Thank for that info again. Doing a little googling I found exactly what I need. Pretty nice setup for $399.99. Thanks again
