Went this past spring with Bama and his group.Learned alot but finding out just how much you need to be in shape was a bit of a reality shock,LOL ! Every speck of gold is earned believe me so it might be good to make folks aware that it is not just get a pan of dirt and find some gold.You will be shoveling, carrying in remote areas down roads you have to have 4 wheel drive on.If you are'nt in shape (I was'nt) :blush: you might want to work on getting in a little better shape before gold hunting. Still in all I really enjoyed the experience and plan to go again on the next trip!

gramakittycat I will emphasize what hard work it can be. but remember it's only as hard as you want it to be. for instance using a detector to find nuggets is pretty much like hiking only slower. or just casual panning isn't that hard. the thing is once you start seeing color then the fever sets in and you start wanting to find more so you dig more and pan more. it's a vicious cycle. highdesertranger

I lived with and enjoyed the fruits of the fever for a long time. Health issues have sorta slowed the old work horse part of me anymore.
How one turns gold into cash is something I've been asked. My snide answer might be, "first you work your ass off for months and then ask". I try not to be snide, but it is hard work and rarely are riches gained over night.
I'm looking forward to seeing your presentation. I think with your experience it will be a good seminar.
