Has anyone used a portable battery bank like the Jackery 240 to power a diesel heater?  Would it be possible to wire a plug into the 12v socket?

I don't have solar and will need to charge up from a socket.  I don't do enough driving for an isolator.

Should I just get a 50ah AGM battery instead and use a wall charger?

Thanks

I think it would work. I currently have a Jackery Explorer 240. It's 16.8ah and takes about 7 hrs to charge. i believe that the Chinese diesel heaters require 12ah but not 100% on that.

You could likely cut the 12v output socket wire and run it to the heater. Haven't tried it myself though.

I used an Espar in my big truck...but the Chinese units power draws are similar.
I had a group 24 deep cycle from wally world and it was fine.
I do not recall the AH on my battery, but your setup sounds to me like it would be pushing the envelope.
