People underestimated how much they will change in the future

The following information invited me to pause and reflect a bit about my future self. While I've often thought about myself a decade into the future, I don't recall ever wondering whether my thinking about that future self was likely to prove correct. It's interesting to me and I wonder whether anyone else here will find it interesting, too:
