Hey, I've been looking around for good solar panels and even picked a cheap "starter" panel to stick in my windhsield to charge a small car battery to power my bare basics when I first start. I first started looking for solar panels designed to replace those windshield reflectors and found flexible panels instead.

However, then I found the small peel and stick solar panels and I was wondering, are these better for stealth vandwelling and still having electricity? Has anyone tried them? I know that solar panels attract vandals but are peel n stick solar panels so flat that no one will notice?

What do you think?

There is some good info on Bob's blog but I can't get on to look it up. Seems to me, they (flexible panels) are okay but not as good as the big ones. I am considering the peel and stick though because I have an old vintage trailer that can't hold any weight.
I also have the option of putting good panels on my old 4 runners's rack. The reason for that would be to park in the sun and have a wire running to the camper in the shade.
Also, Bob is carrying a suitcase-sort of movable solar set all ready to hook to batteries. Might be good for someone with my situation. Wouldn't work for city stealth, they would walk away easily.

Here's Bob's link to his suitcase panels.

At the last RTR I was introduced to a new type of solar panel. Several members owned them and were very happy with them. I was so impressed I have become a distributor.

It is 90 watts, weighs 34 pounds, folds up into it's own suitcase, and is totally plug and play. You can be producing power 5 minutes after opening the box. It costs $425 and that includes free shipping.

I am not going to go into all the details in this post. Instead I am going to send you to my Off-Grid Mobile Living Store on my blog:

I have a blog post on it and you can ask me questions about it directly there:

The problem with peel n' stick is that once they're on, I'm pretty sure they are darn near permanent. Those puppies won't come off at all. So be sure you want them where you want them and that you're not changing vehicles any time soon.

Hi guys I find this sort of panel very appealing for my van. I was thinking of 3 x 68 watt uni something panels, Willy I saw somewhere that you had one of these was wondering how long you have had it and what kind of life span can I expect from them...
