Anyone have any comment on using PAYPAL. I used the forum search...no body has mentioned it, or did l not find it? Thanks

I used it to purchase the suitcase Solar Cells on Bobs site i am unsure if the other products have the paypal button ready to go yet I dont really want to purchase from Amazon
Royz

Thanks, i will phone my bank when their open,to make sure lm not cleaned out. Lol

I have used Paypal for years, it's basically a online form of the old Western Union, but I think the fee is next to nothing. It's a great way to pay someone without writing a check or getting cash out and paying ATM fees. You can have the funds pull from a checking acct or a credit card and can change it from one to the other is you like. I once bought a Caddy on ebay from a Texas dealership and had it shipped to DC all with Paypal.

I use paypal for personal and for business. I have a paypal debit card that I use on the road especially. I love it. It is safer to use than my credit union debit card. Paypal transactions are fast and reliable for me. If I sell something I can use the funds immediately at any gas station or store without waiting to transfer funds to my bank account. My bank account backs up my payal account so I can use paypal for all my purchases and it will withdraw it feom my back-up source. I get cash back on all paypal debit transcations and an instant email when I make a purchase. I consider it my safest form of financial transaction. For everything!

Thanks you all...the only thing lm worried about l guess was giving out ALL my personal info to strangers. I was even worried about. ..is that the REAL paypal site? or a lookalike?

I have used Paypal since it's inception.... (about 15 years)... I have only ever had two problems... the first one was years ago when they added subscriptions and did not make it where you chose it. A site I used (supposedly only once) charged me again the second month because it had been added as a subscription. I made a phone call to Paypal and within hours that was investigated and my money returned (it was only 9.99) since then subscriptions has been changed and you have to choose it.

the second time was here recently... they apparently could not identify me because I have so few things that leave a paper trail on me and I had just recently changed banks and had not updated the new info...so they limited my account. Again a phone call and some answered questions fix it.

If you have a problem .... you can call them and they will, take care of it. Like Katie I also have a paypal debit card.

They have partnered with coinstar and in some areas you can add cash to your paypal account through the coinstar machine. I was fortunate to live in the Dallas area where they started testing it in May of 2012. In Feb. 2013 they have started expanding the partnership... I think that service is now available in Northern Cali, Ohio and other parts of TX. I am sure it will be expanded farther soon. It has worked well for me when I would rather fund something with cash than pull it from my bank account.

I agree it is thee one to use online. the only site other than paypal that gets my info is Amazon.
Just make sure your paypal account is super srong. no common words names or birth dates. mix characters (upper and lower case), numbers and odd symbols like %#* It should be at least 12 digits long.

I sure you know this BUT ... If you ever get an e-mail supposedly from paypal that asks for your log-in and/or password ....Do Not Give It!!!! because they won't ask for that info ever.....I have received one of those once... they did not get my info and I sent the email to paypal.. They will investigate it.

I've had more trouble keeping my bank card secure than I have had with paypal.

Thanks for your comments. I feel better now. Im from a small town and the ladies at the bank went to school with me, so they will also give me a few tips maybe.

We have used PP for years in connection with eBay and other sites where we sell. Also have their card swipe gadget that plugs into Droid.

I transfer money into Margie's account using the "personal" tab and there is no fee for to have some spending bucks.
We like the security and customer service people are always friendly.

PP also covers you with buyer protection even if I were to send you one of their invoices for an item I'm selling.

I don't think you can go wrong using their services.
Only hitch to getting their debit card is that you need to be a member for 60 days.

Ive used them since they were established....they are ok. Certainly convenient and they have gotten a lot faster now at approving your purchases. Accepting paypal is easy as a merchant, but the fees and chargeback policies are rough...with paypal the merchant is always the wrong party.

I use Paypal and have the debit card. I love it. The debit card makes it possible to use the money as soon as it hits your Paypal account and that's a very nice feature.

Yup, I use Paypal. Pretty convenient at times fer shure. ..Willy.

Been using it for years and have never had any problems - also have a PayPal CC.

I find that hardly anyone accepts PAYPAL, switched to prepaid VISA instead. Regular VISA cancelled my card when they found I was selfemployed...( l had being the previous 11 years ) lol

I have a paypal visa that takes the money from my balance.... It works anywhere that takes visa ... they have a prepaid version too.... but I have the one that is not prepaid which just requires that I have my bank debit card recorded with them.

But if you don't have the card then your account is only useable online

There is a whole slew of prepaid-type cards you can use, and almost all of them will link to various accounts you may have.

They are all very secure.

You do not need a bank account anymore.

Just pop into a check cashing service place that you know supports that card, hand them the cash, and voila, it is on your card.

Yeah, some of them are not FDIC insured...

But really, in this climate, what is the FDIC going to do for anyone?
