Wow. Half year surfing in Hawaii and half year in an Oregon woods.

What I found of interest for van dwellers is how he affords to live in Hawaii --- buying a $2,000 van when he arrives, living in it (like many of us would but with no climate worries) for six months at surfing locations, and then selling it for most of what he paid 6 months before. Genius for any surfer.
 
I wonder what he eats for $5 a day.

That sounds low but when I think about it, I but the groceries for a family of four for $100 per week so that is less than $5 per day per person. Heck, he's eating like a King :)
