I DID--laugh out loud! That is SO much better than mine! Love it!
A couple of years ago I did several selfies: a couple of them I guess one could recognize them as possibly me--another, only in an altered state, mentally and financially, the others, maybe not so much. I won't give any clues, either! I wish I could figure out how to post photos here. I finally managed to get one into an email, but that's about it.

The Ajo paint out is coming up, and the weather is supposed to be good. I got a small heater (200 watt) that my inverter can run, and maybe with some refllectix type stuff, the small amount of heat it puts out will be enough for the time I need it.
The van is almost ready, and I'm planning to leave here with those going. I may stay a day or so longer.
I have no idea where we'll be painting, or where I'll stay. Someone said that with the migrants, boondocking alone is not a good idea.
If you get there, and see a sign that says TPAPS paintout, or a bunch of painters, that's US!
My van is white with a black stowaway trunk on the trailer hitch. I probably won't be too far from it.
I hope nothing comes up to change my mind.

I'm coming to think that I need the full hookup so i can use a standard space heater for the van. Otherwise I run a serious health risk. So if I stay, it will probably be only one night.

Good for you git yer butt out there and put some oil on the canvas, post some results please

I did not go. I was about to load the O2 Thursday, when I checked the hourly temps. It wouldn't be warm enough for me to be out until ~noon. That was too much for me. So, Thursday afternoon, I changed my mind. Friday I started coming down with a cold which, even with Vitamin C, progressed to congestion and a sore throat.
I didn't get out to paint here, either, except for a few minutes in the shelter of my front porch. Today, not at all.

Too bad. I hope you have better luck on your next trip.

Ela, I was in ajo the 20th but had a little medical problem and I had to leave. I so wanted to see or do this. I'm in quartzsite now. I thought the town was lovely during my short stay. All is well now and I hope to get there again in a few months

Adrian, why are you looking over your shoulder in your self portrait, are they still after you ?

I could see em in the mirror, this was painted some years back when I had a studio at a local naval shipyard Do you have painters envy? I can and will help that, it's a well known malady. Bring a canvas

No, no envy, I appreciate all kinds of art. I just don't have the ability. What I've seen of yours, you seem to have talent. I was thinking earlier maybe some at RTR could work with others to share their talent. I know there are a lot of good artists who come to the Q. Just my 2 cts. " Art is the most intense mode of individualism that the world has known." O.W.
