Hello! We've never stayed around Pahrump and would love to hear where to go for a week or so boondock style. We also need info on where to dump and get potable water.

Hi Morefun

We're on BLM land in Pahrump right now......

We took E. Basin Ave.....EAST uphill....alongside the Home Depot....End of the paved road turn Left......PARK !

We use Preferred RV behind the casinos for RV Dump...... $10 gets you the dump, trash (dumpsters) and fresh water

Thank you both!
We should be there late morning Saturday. We're good camping just about anywhere that isn't 5k elevation and has enough Verizon for emergency calls. We'll start by checking out the Basin Ave by Home Depot. *cheers*

But make sure you're east of the power lines.
A place to camp near a Home Depot suits me nicely for working on projects :)

heh Have to agree with that...so many projects to get done!

If one is coming from US-95, Basin is the first traffic light on NV-160. East Basin on driver's left and to the right is West Basin.

Justin Lane is the name of the road up past the large power lines.
No street sign.
Google maps shows it.
Pavement ends at Justin Lane.

Take a left at Justin for Abnorm's recommendation. Taking a right leads more dispersed areas and the RV dump facility mentioned previously.

Continuing upwards on gravel from paved E. Basin, there are just a few spots.

The Home Depot is just a reference for locating East Basin south of the HD. The dispersed camping is a long walk downhill to the HD.
