I've had to give up vandwelling for a while so I can get medical treatment. It has been an adjustment. Oh, sure, I have more room, climate control, running water, a toilet and all that other civilized stuff. But I miss the desert and mountains and being on the move. Sometimes I go out to the van and just sit there, imagining I'm somewhere else.

Hang in there, MrNoodly!!! There's good around us no matter where we may find ourselves if we can adjust our eyes to it. Too bad we have to "plug back in" to the maddening crowd to get healthcare. Wishing ya the best!

we are all pulling for you MR.Noodly. hang in there, I am sending you some vibes. highdesertranger

I hope you heal , get strong , and get back in the saddle soon !!!

♥️

I had to hit S&B last week. Booo! Lol. It's an adjustment eh? It's only been a few days for me so far, but I definitely feel out of sorts. Be nice if life would behave and stick with the plan! Hope your medical stuff all shakes out ok. I am going to be heading out again someday, hopefully sooner rather than later. If you're planning the same, best of luck with getting your butt on the road again!

Hang in there! I've been in my son's house for almost 6 months, for various health issues. All the conveniences and a big screen with countless channels don't make up what I'm missing. Still, I am very grateful I have options. What if I actually had to rent a place???

Looking forward to seeing us both out there, again

Best wishes MrNoodly, your still here on the forum and valued for your opinions, not quite as good as conversation around the campfire but at least no bugs flying around!

After 12 years of  running around out west we have had to come back east for a year or two. I really miss the sunsets and dry weather more than anything.  Every time I open the van door the dog jumps in and sits in her spot. I think she misses it more than me. Thankful for everyday we had out there and cannot wait to get back out there. Hope your time at home  goes quick

:D I've been doing that all my life. That was before and after I was allowed to actually drive away. Your not allowed to let that feeling go...... stay positive and be strong MrN, lots of folks pull'n for you.

Speedy recovery.  I too am forced to be in a S&B for my wife.  Being in the van keeps the dream alive.  I have been planning upgrades for when I can actually start using it again.  You know you're never actually through improving it.  It is still a sinking feeling having to go back inside though.

Sure hope you are able to roam freely soon!

Sending prayers that medical all goes well for you!! The open road will be waiting for ya when you are ready to go again!

All the best to you. And I'll never be able to thank you enough for turning me on to NM and the pass program. One+ year in and still exploring!
Ted

My best wishes to you on a speedy recovery Mr. Noodly. You shared some of your wisdom with me and I'm thankful.
See you out there later, I'm sure.
