One person cookbooks?

Anyone have any good sources for a single person cookbook? It is going to be just me, and I can find all kinds of books for "Cooking for Two", but trying to find one for just one person is rather hard. I have looked through the forum, and I have read several posts about single person recipes, but not a lot. If anyone has a link or suggestions, I would really appreciate it!

I’ve made a few of them, and they’ve been very good.

I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a cookbook for one person, lots of cookbooks for one or two, but they may be put there.
 
This will not answer your question but just a suggestion search youtube for dollar tree meals or something like that and you will be amazed at how many channels there are on the subject, I did a quick search and one youtuber I found had 500.000 subscribers ? Cha Ching
not only are they about saving money but some also do cooking shows on what they bought.
one thing that's good about dollar tree and rv's is that most things because they sell for a dollar they are smaller sizes which is great if you don't have alot of frige space. or space in general.
using a variety search terms and you could spend forever on the subject.
most of the times if you find someone you like they will have a ton of videos on there channel.
I love youtube ?
 
Hum... maybe you can start one. I have a 'cook' book I am always adding to that I carry but it is for 2.
 
Couldn't the amounts of the ingredients just be halved?

Or just save the other half for leftovers?
 
Google "one-person cookbook", for plenty of suggestions. Also, "cooking in foil" will have lots of recipes that can be easily adap[size=small]ted for jus[size=small]t one por[size=small]tion.[/size][/size][/size]

I gotta have those leftovers. I enjoy cooking and eating good food, but I do not want my skills tapped for every single meal. So nice to pop in something that is already done.

When I am travelling I go with about 5 prepped meals in the cooler so I don't have to stop and break out my kit to cook. I also use the dreaded bag salad when travelling, light but filling. 

For cooking how to's, definitely go with the AmericaTest Kitchen. Their recipes have been proofed and will turn out great food. I use online recipes mostly which I select after reading the reviews, and some that I have collected over the years on 3x5 cards in my recipe box.

Here is paella, basically seafood cooked with the shells on for extra taste. A couple links to try.

has a recipe for a paella similar to the way I make it, using shrimp and clams. Could not get the site to come up to give you the link, so here is my method.

Start with generous amount of oil or drippings in a wide pan. Saute the shrimp and other fish lightly, adding 4 cloves chopped fresh garlic and half cup chopped celery. Saute for 1 to 2 minutes. Add water or chicken stock and minute rice or precooked rice to make half cup rice or more. Add saffron if you have it. Simmer until the rice is done. My finished product is a little saucy, and I usually take the shells out before plating it. 

Why eat shrimp? It is a fat free, low calorie protein. It tastes great with garlic. A bag of frozen shrimp can keep your cooler cooler. I have also made this dish with lobster and it was even tastier than with the shrimp.

One big cooking suggestion. Chop up meat into single serving amounts or dispensable chunks. Cleaning up same is a necessary chore, and best to only do it once every 7-10 days.
