Of mice and chipmunks

Hello fellow vandwellers 

It is very likely that there's already a thread about rodents chewing on car cables and causing mechanical problems, can anyone tell me how to find it? 
I don't have this problem yet, but I want to think ahead.

Germans have a much more pervasive problem, mostly with martens.

Nicer cars, great engineering.

There's also spray, and a repellant tape.

I use Mothballs under the hood, when my dulley is parked for a long period. they hate the smell. When travling I throw them in a plastic bag, and store in my tow/truck bed.
