That TVA map site when I zoom in I see several purple areas but when I click on them it says no information available.

I'd be interested in heading that way to camp. I used to go to cookeville to visit friends in the summer and It took me about 4 hours. And yes its warm in TN but not as hot as it is in Ga. Ga has been hot and humid lately. And I have no AC. Couldnt be any worse in Tn.

I had to leve florid again ...it was too hot..Im in Maine and buzing around Brjnswick Frewport Lewiston areas.. Its much cooler..well..is there anyone else around .. Also.. Check out Harvest Hosts program.. 79 bucks a year and free pull up options..just spent a few days and am returning. for a couple.more days at the misy acres Alpaca farm.. Its in Maine.. What a nice place..

When I click on them, I only get a name. Then I just google that for more info. Sometimes the actual park name will be different. For example, Beaver Creek Dam, near Bristol, Va. Is Sugar Hollow Park.

The site offers many hosts offering porta potty on site actually and other arrangements on an individual hosting situation.  Not all require only a self contained unit in any way.  This is not correct info so please all dwellers use the site and see what might suit you.  Don't be scared away from wrong info on the board.

For those wanting to meet In the land between the lakes. their is a group camp ground called colson. Their is a fee to use the site it is $100 for 14 days. or $50 for a shorter time .I don't know how long that is for. this is for the site not per person and it wavers the other per person fees to camp in land between the lakes. this site has a dumpster and a pit toilet. dump station and potable  water is 3 miles away. to make reservation call Wanda at 270 924 2044. I did a big write up on this it is now over in gatherings maybe   it could be moved  over hear since their is some interest in  a meet up in land between the lakes. I forget to mention this site can hold  200 people.

It doesn't say you have to have a black tank, just a toilet. They do require a sink and grey water tank.

It is per host situation truly. Don't think you can't have a conversation with the hosts before booking and get a nice welcome So many options, don't limit yourself due to a small blurb that doesn't fit all situations.

AS LONG as one does not do horrible things at the hosted campsite ever you can truly use this site for all. Just find the hosts that suit your needs and start a conversation. very simple actually

You can stay on my property if you are coming thru Western KY. I have a nice camp spot. I have plenty of woods you can poop in or dig a cat hole.

Animals welcome and you don’t have to leash except at night when the night critters are roaming about.

I have a few coming thru next month for about a week I think. I hope the weather cools down because it won’t be fun now.

It took years of holding perfectly still at the pond to where I could feed my turtles without them running off. The snapping turtles are particularly paranoid but the do come now.

I once saw a bluegill beat up a snapping turtle that had inadvertently stepped into his nest. That was a sight. I never saw a fish nor turtle move so fast.

All animals on my property are my pets and I feed no matter what HDR says...

omg coon central! I am like you, I love critters and all and rarely shoot them being a farmer and all

had to dispatch a few groundhogs in the pastures cause as the horses and goats etc roam they break legs in the holes so they had to go.....but the other groundhogs that live under the barns etc I let them live LOL they aren't doing any harm
