Brand new to van/car/truck dwelling.  Just purchased a 2002 Toyota Landcruiser to start the journey.  Pick it up from Texas next weekend.  This has been a vision and dream of mine for years and so grateful to finally be ready to take the leap.  Excited to get the vehicle and start to make it my own.  Have researched ways to make it fit my needs (so much out there)!!!  But I also need more focused help and support.  Looking forward to being a part of this forum and all the wisdom and ideas out there!

Welcome srogers to the CRVL forums! To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

Welcome Srogers beginnings are exciting times. I hope yours is as successful as exciting. You referred to wisdom and ideas coming from this forum. You’re right guard both here. Sometimes I think we have more ideas than wisdom. There are wise people among us. (I am not one of them;)). I think the secret to success is using your wisdom to sort out our ideas. My best advice to you in living out of a vehicle that’s Limited in living space is to remember you are living OUT of the vehicle. The vehicle becomes a place to shelter in bad weather and a place to store everything so that you have a way to live in the outdoors. Of course you’ll still have to find a way to sleep eat and take care of body functions in that small space in case you can’t get out. Good luck to you. God bless the nomads especially those who are just starting out.
