Hi Everybody
I have been watching Bob on Youtube and checked out the website after hearing about the RTR.   I have been interested in full timing since I was a kid but life happens....  Over the years I have been preparing- found a vintage Airstream at a fabulous price and my tow vehicle is a 1970 Ford 3/4 ton Ranger- yep Rangers used to be big. The old truck has 69,000 original miles.  I am the second owner.  I like the old rigs because the little mechanical I can do myself is possible with the old time non computerized engines. I am a teacher and have camp hosted in the mountains and desert and loved it .  My current job will be my last, I am 58 single with two dogs.  Hope to come on down to RTR this year from ID.

:D Ya Hoo!! Another Ranger!! My current one is a little 1991 XLT 4x4.  Rangers are tough.  In 1986 I tried to kill my 1969 Ranger by sliding around in Texas on some black ice and then running out in a field where it stood up on it's right front tire and fell over on it's side stunned but not dead...neither one of us.  $47 tow job and a cracked west coast side mirror and we went home together.  There was a new 1971 3/4 ton Custom Camper Special and then a 1973 Ranger straight six and 3 on the tree.  Way better mileage! That was the last new truck.  Many more Ford pickups followed.

My last big T.T. was a 28ft slant back Silverstream Empress.  It had round fins and pink appliances. My tow vehicle was a 1981 Ford 1 ton.  Did I say I like Ford trucks?

Hey I forgot to say Welcome.  WELCOME! I think most folks have either gone to bed or just haven't awakened.

IDAHO!!!! Have you heard of Mike Oehler, the "$50 and Up Underground House Book" author?

Let me offer you to look at the lower link in my signature line.

It may be a bunch of help when you hit the road.

You will be traveling in a very cool timewarp, eh? What fun, and you bet we want pics.

Do we assume you lived in that trailer as a camp host? So you got lots of experience living in and out of it?

Welcome. You'll find your tribe here for when you are retired and free to roam but want some social times, too.
