Howdy!  I am a new van dweller in CO looking forward to my next chapter of this life.  Today is my 52nd birthday, and 34th year using a wheelchair, so probably not the typical van dweller, but I am an avid traveler, cyclist, skier, artist and soon to be writer, as I plan to write about my wild ride thus far and all the journeys to come.  Excited to find this forum of like minded folks and resources.  See ya out there!  Cheers, Jim

Welcome Jim to the CRVL forums! To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips & Tricks" post lists some helpful information to get you started. We look forward to hearing more from you. highdesertranger

Happy birthday Jim! I think it's great you don't let the chair stop you from adventuring in your van. There is so much to see and take in. We are also in Colorado and looking forward to the day we can leave the winter snow behind although it is beautiful (I never understood the term "White Rain" until moving here or even "snow's a glistening."

Happy b-day! I too am from Colorado. It's a truly beautiful place to be from, although I'm excited about seeing the rest of the country. Best wishes on your van adventures and the writing.

I am also in Colorado. Planning to hit the road October this year

Where are you here? Do you have a rig already? Please post pictures.

Welcome aboard.

Welcome aboard , sailor!   :D

Also from Colorado.  Lived in Colorado Springs for 21 years, working on my trailer at a friend's place outside Beulah.  I keep saying I'm almost ready to hit the road again; then something comes up.  So now, I'm not predicting.

I plan to head up to Lost Creek Wilderness area as soon as I can.  I still drop in to Co. Springs every few months for doctor visits and such.  Lost Creek is only about a 2 hour drive from the Springs.

Saw more than a few people at the Winter RTR this year with wheelchairs.  You are not alone in that regard, for sure.
