Have you considered finding a barter deal for a van. Someone out there has a van and wants a good car.
Look around on Craigslist and even call ones looking to sell outright. Not many sellers (or buyers) think of trading and you might stimulate their thought process and get a sweet deal even up.
When both parties are happy barter is a win win.
