I am new to the Forum. I have been watching YouTube videos for months now. I will not be full time due to obligations but I will be taking trips as often as possible. I thought I would join the forum to learn more.

Welcome to the forum, Ann...any excuse for a road trip, eh? Mini road trips are a great way to tweak your setup. I have had several unexpected uses of my minivan-as-camper recently. The bridge to my house was shut down for hours due to a fatal crash. I pulled into a nearby parking area, put up curtains, had peanut butter and crackers on hand for a snack, used the camping potty, and snuggled into my cot for a long nap. Forced waits no longer frustrate me as I now have a mini motel room wherever I go!

Welcome to the CRVL forums! To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

I grew up in Arlington and Fairfax Counties. What part of the state are you in?

Hi Ann, Denise here,

Welcome, and I am also new.  I won't be able to go full-time this year, maybe next if I am very fortunate.  I will be going out for some camping this Summer, and hopefully, find some folks that are full-timers to meetup with.  Look into the caravans where people form groups to meetup with.  I am looking and learning, lots of youtube videos ;) and spending time here.  I'm 68 but want to live the best life I can for as long as I can ;)
