Ok folks, I'm super jealous that people get to go to the RTR! I'd love to go but a) the car probably won't make it there from Mass and b) I have classes. So... is there anyone in the Northeast that wants to meet up? A weekend? A cookout? Lunch? Coffee? ... It's getting cold so check your schedules and we'll try to fit something in before the snow gets here (again).
I can schedule something in May...
I moved from Ny to Ala in may of this year and have been to two camping gtg weekends since I have been here. Though I'm not in the NE at the moment, I will probably head back up one day as I still have family up there. Am I ( asks sheepishly) still welcome if I can make it even if I don't have to shove around tons of snow? Can I be the token rebel at you Yankee gtg?

Planning to head southward from very northern Vt. in January or so, after a couple shakedown trips with my latest van build...
Had been wanting to do the RTR also- can't quite justify the nearly 6000 round trip miles this winter.
Lurch and I don't do Bean town willingly, but we get along well in more rural areas, and like coffee, most foods, and putting faces with names....
Short answer- good idea!

After the school year. DW wants to take a celebratory retirement trip, anyway. So, June or later.

Perhaps I can shed my introvert nature sufficiently to drive by and wave..

Sorry man, that's sad but funny at the same time!

The story of my life - sad but funny *grin*

Call me Charlie Chaplin...

Folks,

I am green with enveeeeee, all these trips I see you are either going on or meeting up some where.

Living in Western Australia, its just a tad too far to join you.

Hope what ever meeting you are able to attend are all enjoyable, and not too much brown lemonaid (beer) or Red and white cordial (Wine) are enjoyed.

Safe travels

Ozzie

I would love to attend a get together in Oz. I have to come to the conclusion, having met a couple of Australian stockmen, that most Australians are half-crazy, and half- insane.

I admire that.

How close are you to I90? feel free to PM me if you don't want that info as gen. knowledge on this thread

Hubby and I would likely choose a campground nearby for an overnight.

Been checking western Mass campgrounds ( Tolland SF, DAR SF, Pittsfield SF, Savoy Mtn SF) are any of these near you? any suggestions for overnight camping?

I-90 runs through the center of MA so for the most part would be easy to get to from anywhere. I'll be more towards the Wachusett region but should be able to get to anywhere, keeping in mind that I'll be avoiding cities at all costs.

hey, cool beans! Wachusett Mtn is maybe 90 minutes from the grandkids. We'll fine tune exactly where and when as we get closer to spring.

I'll be driving from Dresden, Maine to Annapolis, MD on July 6 or 7 and plan to do the 13 hour drive over 2 or 3 days. If anyone wants to meet up just let me know. =)
