Hello, we're looking into living on the road sometime in summer 2022.

We rent a house and we're both heading towards early retirement. For now we have a camper trailer in a non organized territory in Québec Canada. We'd like to pass the other 6 months out of the year in the states or Mexico.

We have a Tacoma, so we're thinking on a small camper, it's a lot of brainstorming.

Thanks

Welcome Ken to the CRVL forums! To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

Sounds like you have choices on what you can sleep in. If you break down and your vehicle is in the shop you can stay in your trailer comfortably but will be using more gas and wear and tear on your truck where as if you have a camper and not able to set it up somewhere then you're going to probably need a hotel.
We choose to stay in our truck but have a backpacking tent just in case.
Good luck and welcome to the forums.

Hello, everyone:

Being new to this forum, I wanted to introduce myself by saying hi. Like many of the members in this forum, I'm working on converting my 2019 Ford 350 Transit Passenger Van, into my own little oasis on wheels. Once my camper conversion is completed, I will be traveling for work. I'm an entrepreneur who has two business and a music minister who travels to various christian venues to give concerts and whose ministry is geared toward helping, those in need, by working with charities to help people find affordable housing and keep food on the shelves of food pantries. I have always loved to travel and camp, and I have decided to turn my hobby into a lifestyle why working on the road.

Wishing you all the best always,

Linda AKA:
The Roving Highland Lass :)
