Well I was om the old forum until 2012. I haven't been on here in 8 long years. Feels good to make a come back of sorts. No longer life in a jeep. Wondering how one can change a user name without creating a new account. Current status: living fulltime in my converted1995 Chevy passenger van. She's been a great van until a while back and the motor went south. Luckily I own some land. I had her towed and we now live in my woods. I hope to have her running again someday. Meanwhile I've named her the Tin Can Cabin. It saves on gas and insurance at least lol. Anyhow I'm looking forward to catching up around here.

I live seasonally in an our old motor home that is parked until we sell it or haul it off. It has been about as cheap as living on BLM land until recently when lot rent started being charged but we have had full hookups for over 10 years with little or no costs so paying a little rent for a few more years ain’t so bad. I am having a 5.7 Chevy motor put in my old Suburban that comes with a no fault 7 year warranty for $5,800 total there are several out there much cheaper if you can do your own work, some less than $2,000 if you didn’t know. Anyway welcome back!

Welcome to the CRVL forums! To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

I'm doing well all things considered. I've gone from jeep to motorhome to travel trailer to van. I think the van is it. Tbe minimalist in me is happy with it. I have built myself a rustic camp in my woods surrounding the van. I'm working on repainting it at the moment. Winter may soon halt that project. A burgandy passenger van just doesnt blend well in the woods.
