1991 Ford, cargo area clean and big enough to sleep and all gear. 135k miles. Will add set up as needed, don't want, can't afford much, just need cool summer weather and trees! Since I've done a lot of little car camping, this is already luxurious. Thanks for all the tips. Hope my photos show up.

almost 30 years, 4K miles average p.a., that's such little usage!
Mostly a good thing, but personally I'd ask a mechanic to specifically check out things that may result from sitting unused for long stretches.

That's a nice old van!
Thank you all. Very fortunate to have bought it from mechanic who serviced both owners since purchase. Thanks for the advice. I will do a short trip before taking it to the "real mountains." Hope to remove myself and dog from desert heat and go to 8,000 elevation in Northern NM and possibly Southern Colorado. Am sure to be surprised by gas over my little, light sedan. Now can carry at least twice water (28 gal) AND have a place to sleep.
