It wasn’t my fault the generator made me do it!

Last night I parked @ the Yuma Walmart….about two hours into my rest/nap/slumber a person pulled up right in the middle of 20+ RV’s & Campers and fired up an ancient generator.

I JUST DROVE 2500 miles FOR SOME PEACE AND QUIET. Doesn’t he/she ( not a Bruce Jenner joke ) know that!!!  ...How many exclamation points equals a swear word?

So I somehow found 95 N in the dark and drove the 80 miles to the Flying J in Ehrenberg last night.

This morning I took a very short shower…short meaning the nozzle was below my shoulders…but it was great and I will certainly do it again before Quartzsite.  Also did a load of laundry.

I’m just setting up camp about a mile from Bob’s main group and later on this afternoon I plan on taking a walk over there to say hey. Peace out.

Loved the short shower joke ! ;)
Glad to hear you made it to E safely.
The genny story is so common , had that happen to me many times .
Oh my goshk !

I thought all 3.5 of the Yuma walmarts disallowed overnighting -- but I dont' have any idea if it is enforced. (.5 for the nieborhood market.)

If they did maybe they ease up in late December as the snowbirds move in to the rv parks
Jan. 1st...of the month.

Walmart wouldn't mind, the rv's pump a lot of money in to their cash drawers but the city of Yuma wants the snowbirds pay n the rent at the rv parks.

Everybody is so squooshed together. Why would you pay for that experience.

I think it simply represents a remanent aspect of living around large concentrations of people. I would certainly not pay any fee to have that experience.

I stayed last night at one of them. Slept until 9 AM or so. No one bothered me.

In fact I've done that at box stores all around Yuma. I was at Best Buy without moving for over 30 hours before a fellow in a golf cart came by to tell me they don't allow overnight parking. I wanted to ask him how he missed me the night before, but instead I just moved across the street.

Most every time I Walmart camp, I'm awoken by the very noisy parking lot sweeper doing laps around my truck at 4 am. Noise is to be expected when asphalt camping, no use getting annoyed at it.

If I want peace and quiet, I drive deep into the boonies, pull over on the side of a back road, and hope a prowling cop doesn't disturb me early in the morning.

I sleep real good and heavy even surrounded by truckers and constant hywy noise. The last two years I mostly parked at a park n ride next to an expressway and had no trouble.

Didn't even use headphones unless I was watching a movie.

But that generator wasn't a new Honda/Yamaha...this sounded like the little train goin' uphill I think I can, I think I can combined with a garbage disposal and a weezing coughing dying donkey.
