does anybody use it?

On the security/privacy side of things: Intuit already has all my personal information because I use them for taxes.

I'm always struggling with my budget. I'm pretty frugal but horrible at inputting data to watch where my money goes.

According to a friend No/very little attention span required. It does everything. You don't even have to input anything. It does 99% of the stuff all on its own. It SENDS email reminders when bills are due

it was very difficult to set up for me. I accidentally deleted something and it was imposable to recover the lost information. If your bank is one that is coordinated with Mint it is a bit easier to use. Mint has high ratings for free money management programs. It is a part of Quicken.

Hi Cyndi,

I'm using something called Finance Works by Quicken through my credit union. It sounds very similar to Mint. After the initial work to get it set up, it really does categorize pretty accurately. When I check it (about 1x/week), I just go through and categorize those transactions it left uncategorized (very few), and correct those that it wrongly categorized (also very few). For example, it'll categorize my Amazon purchases with whatever category I used last. But, my Amazon purchases could be from any category (household, grocery, pets, etc.). So, I go through and fix those types of errors.

Although I could set it up to do notifications, I already get that feature though a Bill Paying program (also through that same credit union).

I've been using it for over 1 1/2 years. I really like it. It's the first time in my life that I've tracked my finances like I should. Just be prepared for that initial, fairly intense work of getting it all set up.

Hope that helps. Suanne

My credit union offers a similar program included in my online banking; FinanceWorks by Intuit

Mint seems to be the same basic thing. I like using FinanceWorks (it is very simple) and it does help. Mint is an option for those that are not offered something from their bank for sure.
