Hard to tell for sure (only one post so far). I looked and these are systems with no operating system.

I would run a regulated power source on any mobile PC. I use a car adapter that takes 12V and turns it to the 19.5V that my PC wants. One conversion, no inverter to 120 and then back to 19.5.

Hey all, not a spam account, lol. Long time lurker, first time poster. I apologize if the link is the problem, but it is not to any particular product, and it’s not monetized. I only posted it because trying to find a stuff on Ali Express can be a pain. No worries if you need to remove it.

As for power input, yes it is best to use a regulated voltage source if you’re unsure of input voltage tolerance. I have not found that specification yet, but we run these off of unregulated supply from a 12v lead acid battery being charged by a solar panel and Morningstar pwm controller. I haven’t released the magic smoke from one yet. YMMV.

Oh, and about the OS, some will come with an OS, some won’t. You have to look closely. If they don’t you should be able to load a copy of Windows 10 IoT for free, or use a Linux distro.

ok so go to the "Newcomers corner" and give us an intro, we will give you an official welcome. to me posting a link on your first post is a red flag. we never allowed that until recently.

how can you get Windows 10 for free? is it legit?

Though I haven't really run numbers on power consumption, my little Alienware Alpha (no longer very new, but will still run games fine) would be fine, space-wise. If I figured it'd be too much of a drain on a mobile power system, I'd keep it tucked away for when I'm plugged in maybe.

The laptop I'm currently on, not so great for gaming anymore, is a Lenovo with a fabulous keyboard. As I like to write, this is pretty important, and though there might be a satisfactory accessory keyboard for tablets, I'm still kinda hooked on this one. Also, being a convertible with a touch/pen screen, it's handy for signing documents without having to mess about with printers (and printers... in my IT experience... is the Devil!).
