I just spoke with Millenicom's customer service via chat about what happens after 50 GB's of data is used and Customer Service Agent "Matt" informed me that the 3G/4G Unlimited plan is through the Sprint Network and they no longer enforce the 50 GB Policy, so for $69.99 a month, we now have a truly unlimited option for internet. Not sure how great the speed is through them but I guess I will be finding out within the next few months when I order. Hope this info helps yall who are looking for the best bang for the buck as far as mobile broadband is concerned.

Big upfront costs, but from what i have searched they are about the only true unlimited plan left

Wish they had coverage here.

True, a little price for upfront costs, but if they won't cut me off for using the amount of data that I use, I will be one happy camper (just as long as the service doesn't completely suck, lmao).

Use some caution when ordering. We don't have Millenicom but I've been considering switching so I've done a little research. Everyone seems very happy with their service but most use the Verizon network. Service with Sprint is truly unlimited but Sprint's service area is small compared to Verizon which is fine if you'll be spending most of your time stationary. If you travel you may run into problems. Check out this article. It's kind of long but has lots of information - http://www.technomadia.com/2012/11/life-in-the-fast-lane-4g-will-make-you-lose-your-mind/

I am thinking of switching from Verizon to Millenicom, but only if I can get the Millenicom plan that stays with the Verizon towers. I was thinking of their 20 Gb plan with a mi-fi. If you read the faq's, it sounds like they don't even track that package. 20 GB is a bunch. I have a very easy time staying under 5Gb now. I think Millenicom just buys Verizon and Sprint in big bulk packages and as long as they aren't going over their massive combined quantities for all their customers as a whole, you are probably OK. Pigs get fat; Hogs get slaughtered.

@ wandering mike: I would prefer to be on Verizon's towers, but 20 GB just isn't enough for me, between video and audio streaming and transferring large files for work via bittorrent, I can easily burn through that much data in a couple of days. The more I look at it, I'm thinking of going with the Unlimited Plan through the Sprint Network + The 20 GB Plan that goes through Verizon + using my T-Mobile Phone as a hotspot if and or when needed.

I tried the sprint plan and had no such luck was very disappointed at least where I travel. Never had any problems with my verizon yet. All the data in the world doesnt help if you have no signal. Dont know where you travel though? Good Luck!

@ HoboBerg: That is a very good point. I haven't hit the road yet, but when I do, I'm planning on going wherever the road takes me. Currently I'm still in my planning stages. But when I do hit the road, probably heading out west first, then from there who knows....

This post is old, so wanted to update the info contained.
Millenicom DOES, indeed, enforce the 50GB thing, and Yes, they DO use the Sprint/Nextel network.

I'm grandfathered in to the Sprint unlimited plan for $68/mo. But the speeds are pathetic because Sprint purposely throttles customer bandwidth in order to get more customers and more money, without having to build the additional towers they've desperately needed for the last 3 years. A situation that only keeps getting worse.

I know Millenicoms $70/mo (no tax/no contract)unlimited plan is a re-sell of the Sprint wireless plan...
Just as my Boost mobile phone $50/mo (no tax, no contract)unlimited everything plan is a re-sell of Sprint's $99/mo (+ aprox $40 taxes/mo + contract fee) plan.

For the extra $3/mo, I was hoping Millenicom wouldn't intentionally throttle my bandwidth as Sprint does. Called them, asked about the 50 GB thing, was told I'd be disconnected in a hurry if I went over it more than once, or I'd be charged extra for the the additional use.

Bottom Line - it's NOT unlimited, but may be an option for some people.
50 GB/mo is a drop in the bucket for me.

I recently signed up with Millenicom. They offer Sprint/50gb and Verizon/20gb. I chose the Verizon because I don't use nearly that much and you can get the Jetpak MiFi, which allows you to use multiple devices (laptop, tablet, ereader). No contract. It's shown on their website.

They told me that at 20gb, it will be cut off until the first of the next month, when it will automatically be reinstated. You can call and buy more time if you reach your limit.
