That is inspirational for sure. Looks like he had some good build out skills, too. Wish we saw more of that. And he lives on just over $800 a month I think he said! Of course, we see he uses some sort of wood stove inside, too.. hmmmm.

It's even more impressive than that. He actually lives on closer to $500 per month due to the rented room he keeps:

...his limited budget of Supplemental Security Income (about $800 a month). He often parks along the waterfront, close to places that have public restrooms and showers since his bus doesn't have a bathroom.

He still rents a room on Lafayette Street with a friend, paying about $300 a month,  which allows him a place to clean up and gives him another option if something happens to his bus.

Other than rent for the apartment, Cotton said he has few bills, including insurance for his bus, fuel for wood in the winter, and propane for heat.
