Hi guys.
Well, I'm back down from the hills. Had a bit of difficulty yesterday, Interac transfer came but he forgot to add the password answer, so I just said 'THE HALIBUT!' and headed back up into the hills; only so long that I'm willing to sit around in town.

Woke up today to a nice 'n cool overcast morn, fueled myself with some coffee, and headed down. Kinda dreaded gettin' back on the net but, being the manliest of men, I girdled my lions and went at it. Joy ensued as, having canceled the Interac transfer and resent it (this time with a password), the transfer went through!! DAMN!! ..what a load of stress off my shoulders. It was made 10x worse by the medication I'm on (if your doc wants to put you on Gabapentin (Neurontin HORRIBLE drug ,really think twice cuz, while it DOES help with pain, the psychological/physical side effects can be truly nasty). Thanks for helping me out, really appreciate it, and if you'd let others know that I FINALLY got my refund, I'd appreciate that too. I'm not a vindictive sort and, I hope, buddy learned a lesson regarding good business practices and the inadvisability of playing fast 'n loose when running an internet based business.. I know that I definitely have learned some lessons.

Anyway, I've got my ill-gotten gains back and can now, due to finding an alternate solar dealer ($130 for 100W monocrystalline with MC4's already attached), can stick on a 100W panel to take me to 280W.. which is plenty for me. Hope to make it down for Jan. and am saving up the pennies. Strangely enough, it's cheaper for me to go down south for a few months than it is to stay up here during the worst parts of the winter, and safer, since I don't have to pay for heating and no ice to slip on.

Figure from now on I'll either have stuff delivered via Amazon, or pick it up in person, which is what I should've done in the first place. Thanks again.. Willy.

Thanks. Wouldn't have been so bad if it hadn't been on this lousy drug and being near dirt poor.. the stress was giving me monster migraines. ..Willy.

Glad it worked out, Willy. Sorry it was such a pain.

There's a bright side to it all, and it's that I found a vendor who sells superior panels at an equivalent price. Have to travel into Burnaby to get them but, at the very least, I know what I'm buying. Always leery about having something so large and fragile shipped. ..Willy.

Picking them up will save you a lot in shipping. But it's a myth that solar panels are fragile, they are remarkably tough.
Bob

Tough as they are, they can still be damaged and it would be a real hassle to ship back. I used to work as a baggage handler at YVR and saw just what kind of damage a pissed off or careless worker could do. ..Willy.

Glad things finally got straightened.

Maybe we need a section listing problem venders.

So glad you got your money back, Willy. Hope you are relaxing and feeling better now.

Yup, sure am. Camped out in the hills above Osoyoos. Doc here was kinda horrified when I described the number and severity of the side-effects I was experiencing. Regardless of that, it's just soooo incredibly nice to get outta the city and into the hills. Air's MUCH cleaner here and way quieter.

My buddy Nick just got his ICBC payout and is getting his 4x4 equipped and ready to head up. Gonna be bringing me that 100W mono panel I left with him and THEN I'll be pumpin' out the juice! ..Willy.

Glad you got your money back Willy! As for the Gabapentin see if your doc will let you take your largest dose at night before bed. I was on 1200mg at 3 times a day and was a complete zombie. The docs moved my dosage around so I was taking a double dose at night. I was much more clear headed during the day and it helped me sleep at night. Also the longer you are on it your body will adjust to it and the side effects will lessen. Good luck!

I've been on that crap for near 4 years now and, even with a lower dose, am experiencing more, and more severe, side-effects. That's why the doc is moving me to the amitriptylene. Won't be sorry to get off the gaba. My parents are going senile (mom worse than dad), and I can really relate to them, given how the gaba affects the brain. ..Willy.
