Howdy

My name is Zo (RV newbie) and I'm looking to join a group/tribe of RV'ers to get some hands on experience with my 2002 class A georgetown forest river.  I have been watching Bob's videos and he suggest several states to travel in order to stay warm (California, New Mexico and Arizona).  I am currently looking for a group heading to Cottonwood, AZ on the first or second week of April 2018.  I am also open to changing plans if there is a big group headed to New Mexico or California.  If anyone has any suggestions and or ideas for which state would be best please advise.  Thanx in advance for any suggestions, ideas and feedback.

Welcome Zo, it's great to have you join us. You might want to start your own thread so we can follow it easier.

Thank you for the suggestion.  New to posting so I'll give that a try.

I'm kinda new here too. I am not on the road as yet I'm still building out my Subaru Forester. I expect I'll be out there the end of May if all goes as expected. It will be just the 2 of us, Me and Mylo T. Cat. The 'T' stands for 'The'. I just got fed up with the Landlord and crappy neighbors the Landlord rents to. Tired of the rumor mill. Tired of a Mean Town. I want my FREEDOM ! READY OR NOT HEEERE I COME!

drbill, I see I'm not the only one and you get to a point where you get so sick of it you have to leave and sometimes without even preparing! I've done that and left to Co. Springs a few days but now next week I'll be gone for at least 14 days and heading to Cottonwood area to debrief and breath a new life far away from the same mean town and rumor mill. I don't rent but have a % investment in a house with a relative we currently have for sale (-25k) but that % I get will help me finally get a big newer vehicle and go full time and never to return or drive through this miserable dreaded depressing town. My dog (Max) loves to go "bye bye" and this time we are preparing. Max and I are in a small pick up, no overhead camper but a tiny topper, bike, hiking boots, propane stove, lots of great water, sun umbrella, 2 beach chairs, 2 small foldable tables, my bucket, my guitar, a cooler for food and a beer or two, plus possibly buying a battery to power up a radio and avoid draining the car battery. Good luck to you and have lots of fun when you go.

Hello Tina - I am new as well. Good luck with your car camping adventure - my older family members are so stuck in their lifestyles that they dont want to do it so i congratulate you in taking a leap of faith.
