Decided to start a thread where I could park stories, photos and tid bits about my adventures. So here we are. First on the list-laundry.

Started off with a suitcase. I quickly realized I need a place to put my dirty clothes. Bought a netted laundry bag from Target. Pretty happy. Then I didn't like the suitcase because it bugged me that near laundry day I would have a empty suitcase floating around taking up space. Bought another laundry bag. Pretty happy. Then I noticed the dirty laundry made my mobile apartment smell funky. When ever I drive around its windows down, a/c up if your pickin up what I'm puttin down. J/k its not that bad but I do need to find a sealed bag or tote to put it in.

OR......just have clothes made of material you can wash out every night in a little water and not carry a lot of anything around...you only need a couple&nbsp; of each&nbsp; thing....no fuss and no muss...<br>Just an idea....this is what I do....<br>bri<br><br>

Haha. That's exactly what I've been thinking. Wash your clothes at the end of the day and hang to dry. That would solve the dirty laundry issue and have less to carry. One thing that's sux is my new job requires me to change clothes sometimes 3 times a day. I also had to buy a suit. I've never owned a suit in my life. So now I'm thinking about building a closet. My current van doesn't have a water setup. But I plan on putting one in when I get a new rig.

Yikes! Well that's out I guess....too bad...A suit! Well I hope it means you are making the big bucks, brother...I have never even owned a suit..only a sport coat...one from an old style Engineer's corduroy suit with leather on the elbows, etc. I have worn a Tux twice and I think not again!<br>But I digress....I also never made the big bux....<br>Good on you tho.....and good luck on the smelly gear..<img src="https://vanlivingforum.com/images/boards/smilies/rolleyes.gif" align="absmiddle" border="0"><br>Bri<br><br>

Lol. I just got let go after a week of training for a job and among their concerns was that I wore the same outfit every day... hmmm...
They didn't say anything about smelling funky tho.

I really like my new job. For the last 7 years or so I've been an audio engineer mixing mostly in venues/night clubs. Now I work for a sound company that does mostly high end events. I've worked for basket ball players and actors/actresses some times at there crazy big homes. Huge events for the LA Times, even the LA Zoo. I have had to sign disclosures about what I'm aloud to talk about and that I can't text or tweet or take photos, crazy stuff. A month ago I did sound for a reality TV show and I had to sign saying I could be on TV. I have load in cloths, then change into "show blacks" aka the suit for the events and then "strike clothes" for load out. During the events alot of the time I'm wearing my suit hiding in some bushes or hanging with the staff smoking cigs. No more dealing with idiot bands, &nbsp;promoters, or club owners. Although I get to work with The Black Keys this week so that will be cool. It's not too shabby, and yes, they pay me very well.<div><br></div><div>@Imladris--LOL! I never smell funky, just my dirty laundry.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Sorry for rambling, but this is my rambling thread...</div>

@Blkjak-Hi! and thanx! <img src="/images/boards/smilies/smile.gif" border="0" align="absmiddle">

The mobile apartment decided to take me camping in the Angeles Ntnl forrest. The odometer read 33 miles from right outside of DTLA to the campsite. Saw a coyote but it was faster than my camera phone. Not one other person in the campground. Just the way I like it. I think van and I will probably frequent the location, there is still lots to explore.<div><br></div><div>

</div><div><br></div><div>Hmmmm, if they don't have an established policy on having to wear different clothes on daily/weekly basis, I'd say you could easily threaten a lawsuit and get the job back (at least for a while).&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div><br></div>

<div>Yeh, that job was sooo not worth getting back. I don't have the kind of skills necessary for a job that is actually worth a lawsuit.</div><div><br></div><div>@ Vanimal: Love the pics dude. 'specially the pine cone.</div>

<div>@ Imladris: Dang. It was the biggest pine cone I've ever seen!!!&nbsp;</div>

Cool pics. That's amazing it's only 33 miles from LA, nobody around and it looks like there is plenty of firewood.&nbsp;

@ Jim: thanx! The fire wood was everywhere! I couldn't believe it. I didn't even have to leave my site. Plenty of long dried needles, kindling, and logs. Fire was blazing in under 2 minutes. I'm planning on going back this week.

BOUGHT A NEW VAN!<div><br></div><div>Which comes at the perfect time due to the fact that I am no longer in the astro van as of sunday, and am back living in my SUV. Van is in Indiana and I'm flying into Chicago next teus to pick it up. Road trip!</div>

<FONT size=3>That's all you got for us? No year/make/model?&nbsp; No back story???</FONT><br><FONT size=3>Oh! and congratulations!!!&nbsp; Looking forward to pictures and road tales!</FONT><br>

Haha. I knew the lack of details might be too much for some of you van fanatics! It's a 97 Ford E-150 high top conversion. Camper style with water, microwave, heater, and a/c. All electric powered no gas. Exactly what I've been wanting! Can't wait! Pics coming soon!

Hello friends! What a crazy few weeks I've had! So I drove Van back from IN with my dad, only broke down in the middle of nowhere once. Currently in SLC trying to get Van all tip top before the trek to LA.&nbsp;<div><br><div>Van in Nebraska:</div><div><br></div><div>
