Welcome to the CRVL forums, ryegal! I'm glad you're planning to go to Q, this winter. It's a blast!

To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips & Tricks" post lists some helpful information to get you started. We look forward to hearing more from you.

My fur child is a shi shu boy dog though I never think of him as a    .I would love to post pictures but don't know how. As for my Barth, there are only 2 class C left. I am looking forward to Q. I also spend time at the slabs which I enjoy.you can read a lot about the slabs that is not true.

welcome reyegal. yes w need pics. you need to go to the new reply button and not the quick reply box. once you do that there is all kinds of options. highdesertranger

Cool to read that the Slabs might not match its rep, I'd like to go there.

you can find everything at the slabs. like every other place there are good areas and bad areas. just like Detroit or Hollywood. there is good and bad. highdesertranger

Hi rygal, so what took you so long to get over here to Bob`s place.  Sorry bout being so quite, had a bad spell since July4
I am planning to go to Q also, probably around the middle of November, I got the CHUCKWAGON up and running.  i think Cottonwood is going to be the first place that I land.  Hope to see ya, Warren

Yes, welcome. I'm new too, was at last year's RTR in a borrowed van; liked it so much I bought a van and am about half-way through the conversion. I am going to attempt to post some pictures. 440 watts on two solar panels, a 195 ah AGM battery, 45amp MPPT charge controller, etc. I am stoked. My friends range from aghast to "Dude, are you gonna sell power out there in the desert with that array?"

Still not having luck with the photos, maybe they'll appear when I post, they don't when I preview. It they do, I have some more I will post later.

Looking very forward to the 2016 RTR. Bob,  I am ready, willing, and moderately able to help with the food. I can't guarantee I'll be any less neurotic or bossy about the prep to those of you who were on the food team last year. By the way, I just want to send a big thank you again to Bob, Judy, Ashe, Jen, Sassy, Maggie, Greg, Atli, CB, Jerry and Nelda, Jess, Lou, Lesa, Sherry, Tony and Karen, and everyone else (whose names I have forgotten and don't seem to be in my contacts) who was at last year's gathering. I had a great time, everyone was so welcoming!

See you in January, or maybe before.

Peter, it's going to be great to see you again! Everybody who is coming to the RTR should be glad to see you again as well!!

We have two group meals every year, a chili meal where we all bring a whole bunch of cans of chili and other things and throw it in a pot and call it dinner. The other is a soup night where we dump a whole bunch of cans of soup in a pot and it's dinner.

I know it sounds awful but it turns out surprisingly well. Well, except for the one year I scorched the chili, that wan't so great, but it was edible.

Then last year Peter took over, WOW!!! It was no longer surprisingly good it was outstanding and delicious.

So, everybody should come to the RTR and enjoy!!

But, most of all, you should come so you can meet ryegal and many other people new to the forum!!!

You can't have enough friends!
Bob

We're really glad you are here ryegal!
