Well, I have been thinking about full-timing every since I realized it was something people did probably 25 years ago!  My "situation" is a little more unique than most.  I have an adult son with Down syndrome who will be on the adventure with me.  That hadn't been the plan but until I find a good place for him, the best place is with me.  I also have two senior larger dogs, well-behaved and big fans of camping.

I still have a lot of details to work out.  I have purchased what will most likely be my tow vehicle, 2007 Dodge Durango, and plan to go "small" with a TT.  The hope is to start the adventure next year if things continue as they are now.  Anymore, you don't know what tomorrow will bring.

Since I have been involved with RVs and RVing since the 1980s, having had 8 RVs of different type, never anything large and generally used and or "simple", I might be able to help with some advice.  There are many things I still need to learn to put this all together.

I really enjoy watching "Without Bound".  It is an excellent documentary and I am sure it will "speak" to many, especially those of us who face a leaner retirement.

Thank you for operating this website and for all the information I will gain.

Welcome Snow Gypsy. Where are you from. My bride and I also run away from the snow in winter time. We are in northeastern NY. We are heading out this winter with a new to us 19' TT. We downsized from a 27' which we took to AZ last winter.

Kansas and I want to escape more than the snow here.  Originally from MI but have found when we moved to non-snow states, I always ended up returning to the ones where it snowed.  We did one year in the AZ desert get snow in April, Easter Sunday.  It was very light but I made a little snowman out of it and it had been 11 or 12 years since it had snowed there.  It was wild!  I like the snow that is gone the next day!
