I'm a 26 year old male from northern california. I have been wanting to downsize and live in a van ever since I started paying rent and was just recently given a 1985 dodge ram van that I am planning on turning into my new stealth home.

Welcome to the tribe. Sounds like you have a good start, a nice van. Not paying rent, a very freeing thought and at your young age saving money and spending it on adventure, how wonderful.

I am getting it in trade for some work. It has been non-op for two years but only took an hour to get it running again.

One of the things you should do is check the brake lines, they rot out fast if not used.
Try dumping some fuel conditioner in there as well it will help with the build up in the Carb and the varnish that developed from sitting.

good luck
