I sure don't. If you do let me know! I am in Dallas, Texas. I have looked before, and either they would not consent to a background check, or wanted large amounts of money.

Most discussion about that here concurred with your intuition.

Likely just fear mongering to get traffic, but if not I feel sorry for her.

Sure stuff happens, but in reality traffic accidents are the biggest danger out there, and we all manage to keep driving. . .
Yes, I read the thread after it was posted here. Honestly, I didn't want to say anything too negative, but she sounded a bit off.

I'm very sorry, Moxadox, I thought I was responding to a message to me.....in fact, I got totally confused with the names, etc., and unfortunately I'm not tech oriented, I'm more like tech baffled......so maybe I'll just go back to bed and start over later. Gertie
Hey Gertie, I'm sure my message was meant for you, and everyone else who is meant to see it! The internet has a strong dose of the mystical about it. If you see it, then you're meant to see it. I hope you're doing well today!

Welcome Phyllis, I watched only one video by that person ... seemed like enough. I'm more interested in videos about people actually living in vans, than in listening to someone who gave up.

That pink flashlight stun-gun is purrrrrfect. I should get one... however, I'm not all that paranoid about possible safety issues. I've traveled a lot in the past, sleeping in cars, hitchhiking across the US/Canada when I was very young, sleeping on the sides of roads, etc. and I've had few experiences of danger. Oh, I guess I could tell a few stories, but maybe another day. I'm not youthful or inexperienced anymore and don't feel intimidated by traveling alone.

:D I love to hear from positive people. I am positive ALL THE TIME. :)
It's just that I think "Trust but Verify" in various forms, is a good idea. Hence my tagline
For instance.. I don't fear lightning, but i don't walk barefoot in puddles, or seek protection under a tree during an electric storm.

Boy, (or girl ;) ) I hope we-all will meet up somewhere.

Hi and thanks for the welcome! Good to know my instincts were correct about that video poster.
