I am considering purchasing a 1978 Dodge Mobile Traveler.  Is it possible to install solar and/or a generator in a van this old?  If I am not able to do so I won't go through with the purchase.  I need to let them know ASAP so if anyone has info please respond.  I would not do the installation myself so I am curious if it can be done how much might it cost?

Thanks!

Anything is possible.

Generators can mount on the front bumper.  Solar panels on the roof.  Batteries can fit in a lot of places.

I have been creative with instalations.

As to cost...  That all depends on what you want to do.

it might already have a generator, have you checked? they had generators in the 70's
if it has a roof you can add solar

If I can put a 240 watt panel on my small astrovan, you can easily put panels on something that has a roof 3 times as large.
Even if you have roof vents or other obstacles you can figure a way to put panels on there. Or use smaller panels to fit the available area. RV's were meant for putting panels on them.
