I like this " Dear mother-in-law, I don't need you to teach me how to handle my children. I'm living with one of yours and he needs a lot of improvement." Remind you of anyone ? (<:
 
That is something I never dared to say to ANY of my inlaws.   :s

When I met the parents of the Mother of my children, She had just turned 18, and I was 25.   :blush:

Her dad was a gunsmith, and a Deputy Sheriff.  I walked in the door to a pile of guns being cleaned. I picked up the nearest rifle and had it in pieces as soon as both hands hit it.  

His first words were, "How did you do that?" 

(I grew up with one of them, and spent many hours cleaning it.)

They never tried to interfere with how we raised the kids. Respect goes both ways. Besides, Both of them were crack shots.  ;)
 
Like Grant said in a thread about Burners, my post about In Laws will be very short. :)
