Congrats! On the towing insurance though, (and I'm sure it varies state to state) When I was in Ny, you didn't have to insure the towed object separately, it was covered by the tow vehicle. Of course, if you are towing a boat or camper that you are financing, the bank would require you to have it insured untill the object was paid off. I would imagine that your insurance on your prius would be sufficient to cover it , whether you are driving it or towing it. BUT AGAIN, check YOUR insurance co. I had a blanket commercial policy that covered pretty much everything I owned , drove or towed.

Congrats. Did you sleep init last night? Lol

That's wonderful Suanne! We are still in the Sierras if you are looking for a shakedown cruise! If not I sure hope to see you again at the RTR if not MUCH sooner! Bob

Thanks for the invite Bob. Right now, we're taking it slow. We'll be starting with a single night out next week, then for 5 days the following week, then 10 days in November. Being 8' wide, I'm not sure this RV could get into your camp in the Sierras anyway. How did Brian do getting in?

I sure hope hubby will be ready for the more extended time away at the RTR ... if not, I plan to be there for sure. But, when you know where you're going to be mid-November, let me know. Maybe we can stop by for a visit then.

In the meantime, I am enjoying fixing up the RV to our liking. It's kind of like having that cabin in the woods that we never got.

Stay well, Suanne

Hi Suanne, I am so glad you are BOTH enjoying your new RV. Brian didn't think he could get his Class C in here, so he parked at the bottom of the hill toward Dinkey Creek RD. He has a great campsite with both cell phone and internet. It is about an 10 minute walk away from here.

Fall finally arrived here and it has really cooled off and a storm is in the way. Our tentative plans are to stay here through all of October (unless the weather turns bad) then head to Victorville, CA through November. Being high desert it will be cooler than the Slabs or Quartzsite. When it starts to get cold there we will move to the Slabs or QZT. We don't like heat or cold, so it determines our schedule.

When you get tired of the rain, come join us!! Bob

Wow that is a nice class C! I like the huge window in the back. I have been browsing online for a small class c and have yet to see one that was under 24 foot.
