Hey there tribe! (Is it okay if I call you my tribe since I'm new to all of this and haven't actually met any of you in person?   )

I'm getting ready to get out there with ya'all, and am in the process of purging my stuff.... too much stuff!!  :s

I've been binge-watching on YouTube and words cannot express how grateful I am for all of the information I've pieced together to get ready for this next phase of life. What an awesome community this is, and I just want to say thank you to Bob, and to all of you for helping me open my eyes to the endless possibilities for people like us! I actually didn't know people like us existed until I stumbled on the videos by accident, and then I thought, HOLY _____! Thank God I'm not a total freak for wanting to live like this!!

I just wanted to introduce myself, say Hi to you all, and hopefully, make a connection or ten before I venture out.

Isn't it such a relief to find out there's so many others who are questioning the status quo and wanting to live closer to the land, to exploring, all of it? Sounds like you are in the right place here!

Which part of the country are you in, as you start to downsize and plan for your Big Escape?
