Hey does anyone have experience with design or website marketing? I have an idea and I'm not sure what would sell or what would make money easier.

My idea is I have a website and I wanna start selling t shirts to van dwellers and rv living people. I have a few designs in my mind and I think people would love them. I also think stickers too because some people can't afford to buy a t-shirt sometimes. I been there! And I'm trying to target rv living people.

My other thought was to sell stoves and useful rv things. Since I have so many old stoves that my BF doesn't use no more they are perfect for camping and in amazing shape! I wouldn't sell them for super expensive.

Van/rv people please tell me what you would be interested in and how I can add or change my ideas. I wanna start making money through YouTube and by my website and selling things. As I don't have a store set up on my site yet. Once I get enough ideas I will slowly start! But I wanna know what people's thoughts out there are... because I know if I saw an awesome bandana/sticker or t-shirt with a cool van or rv dwelling logo on it I would probably get it.! Would you buy? Here is my website so you get an idea http://www.stratoranger.com

Welcome to the forum......Everyone needs to find their own way in this world......trying to monetize your own experiences depends on your contribution to the cause

You'll find Bob's T-Shirts for sale at this link.......The proceeds from those sales fuel this very website.......you will find many more useful posts in Bob's BLOG posts at the top of every page

Last night I was able to view your first website from my S&B wired connection...............I'm not a word-Nazi but at first I thought your use of "bored" vs board.....
MUST be a freudian slip........as in community (is) bored.........But now I realize that all students are not "learned" equally

I'm an old man..........and maybe my thoughts about vocabulary are not contemporary........But your webpage is a direct REFLECTION of YOU....What do you want to show the World...........

Good Luck in your travels......doug

I've met people who work with supply companies that drop ship for them.  Basically it is a warehousing community that allows it's associates to create websites showing images of the products that they warehouse.
They are allowed to create their own text descriptions (so long as they don't make false claims)  and have their own shopping carts & gateways. (credit card processors for credit card purchases/PayPal etc)  So when someone comes onto their site and purchases something it is billed by one  party,  and the warehouse gets the payment and ships the goods to the customer while a commission is electronically debited to the website owners
account.

The website owner is responsible for keeping their own bookkeeping (quicken), records of sales. (IRS),  and
and site maintenance.   Many of these people use freeware like "OSCommerce"

If you want to look through this site for alternatives to OSCommerce:

This is just one Dropshipper and you can Google for others:

These could get you started.

If you are going to work out of a vehicle as a nomad this would eliminate the production & warehousing/shipping functions for you.   All you'd have to do is just process sales figures & keep tax records.
If you are licensed as a "Business" somewhere you may have several tax advantages.  (travel fuel if it is work related....maintenance to vehicle.....and whatever your accountant would explain to you)

I've known some traveling artist who write off much of their expenses.  They crank out the awning of their RV and set up it to do pastel portraits.   The RV is said to be their studio but they can't write off the whole RV as they are seen as living in it.   But this is where you need an Accountant to counsel you first.

They used Sunshine Artist and other magazines like it to find places to travel to where they were having events and festivals.

Start a YouTube channel and post videos featuring different shirts, with a link back to your website.

Well i think this is not the way of making money, i think it is better to create your videos and monetize on youtube for earning from your video channel and further more if your willing to open you ecommerce store with 0 inventory and earning thousand dollars of sales then i will suggest you to read some very useful guide which is available in withintheflow.com

99% of profits earned in the Gold Rush was the guys selling shovels and mules to the miners.

YouTube is full of videos and smaller channels and smaller creators losing money.

In the Gold Rush days (thanks John for the reference) of YouTube, people were making money, but some of that is drying up now.

Even some larger channels are feeling the pinch.
