<br />I don't know where you live but $2000 is enough to buy a decent van. I've been seeing a 98 GMC van in the paper that touts "everything works", and has a new set of tires to boot. You're welcome. <img src="/images/boards/smilies/smile.gif" alt="" align="absmiddle" border="0" /> <br />I suppose I should elaborate, the GMC I saw in the paper is the smaller one, you know, like a Chevy Astro. I've got an older one, 94 I think, but the guy I bought it from a couple years ago put a newer engine in it. Mine has a nice body and interior, but the paint doesn't shine like new. I feel it blends in better that way. <br />Now my buddy really likes mine, so has been looking in the paper for one like mine and found that one. I think it's still in the paper. <br />If you find one you want to look at, bring your greasy friend. <br />-Bruce

<br /><br />I've seen lots of vans at around $2000 on Craigslist here in San Diego. The problem is that I have no clue about mechanical stuff. I know I need to learn, but I need a van first. How do I find a mechanic who knows his/her stuff to look at it for me?<br /><br />p.s.
