I think the key to storing clothes is just to go minimalist. Even though I'm currently living in a condo I have only 7 shirts, 5 sweaters and 3 pants, but lots of socks and underwear. When the transition happens I'll go to 7 each of those too. Hopefully, with a couple towels added in I can get it all done in one load at the laundry mat.

You can cut the amount of clothing ya need in half by just turnin' it all inside-out when dirty; good for another go! Now, that's a whole loada savings, money AND space. ..Willy.

Simple, wear everything you own at the same time. :p

Heh, just about.....my motorized biking bud Bamabikeguy always said when he toured the country on a bike, to save space, he wore what he had and when it got so dirty he couldn't stand it, he'd throw it away and buy more at the next thrift shop.

It seems the clothing that takes up the most space is pants/jeans. Try this: lay them out flat and slip them under your mattress. Done carefully, they look pressed when you remove them and that's space you'll never miss. I've done this and it works great for me.

I hope he bought more before he threw it all away. :D

Not quite as mad as it may sound.

I know a mature lady who does quite a bit of travelling, both domestic and international, and only ever takes carry on luggage. On arrival at her destination she goes to a thrift shop to buy a wardrobe. Before coming home she donates it back (clean) to the nearest thrift shop. She does not do it for budgetry reasons, she just does not like to hassle with suitcases.

By the way did Bob mention clothes are optional at the RTR? So you really don't need to bring any!

Hmmm... middle of the desert in January... no clothes... frozen ladyparts...

FAT CHANCE OF THAT, OWL!!!! :p
