I called Renogy and told them what I wanted to power, and the rep told me what to buy.  I bought a 300watt system and will be using 2 12v deep-cycle batteries (combined for 200RC).  I can follow the diagram for wiring my system, but I don't see how to ground it.  The instructions say to ground the system, but don't say how.

I have a 2001 Ford E350.  If you have an idea for me on a good way to ground this, please explain it like you would to a first grader.

See y'all at RTR. :exclamation:

The entire vehicle body is the ground (negative). Your panels will be wired to your charge controller, your charge controller wired to your house battery, and the negative terminal on your house battery will go to a ground point somewhere on the body. Make sure it's a good solid location like maybe a bolt through the frame and ensure there's no rust or paint in the mating surfaces of your ground connection.

All devices you're powering should be wired directly to the terminals on the battery as well. Everything goes to the battery, and the battery is grounded to the vehicle.

It's worth mentioning that in some vehicles the body is positive rather than negative, and in those cases wiring this way without checking would result in bad things. But that shouldn't be an issue for you.

And when I say your house battery, I mean your battery bank since you have two.
