Probably old news to many, but I think this rocks:

In the next "episode" featuring a permanent RV installation, he recommends adding a bit of epsom salt to the shower water to reduce filter clogging from soap.

yeah several versions of this basic idea have been posted in the past. frankly I take a shower when I am dirty that filter is not going to clean out all the nasties that come off my body. basically I don't want to shower in my own funk. if you feel it's good for you, have at it. highdesertranger

Probably a good idea to knock off the big pieces first, so they don't hit you in the head second time around. :)   Seriously, I liked our 12 volt shower(s), but they just didn't last and I think something more durable like this would be an improvement, recirculating or not.  Gray water has always been a hassle for us, so minimizing it appeals.

The weed sprayer I've carried for years may have lost its place on Van Island, too, in favor of a sea sponge as recommended by a contributor here.  We'll see.
